[Shopify] AVADA SEO Image Optimizer: The best free SEO app?

This time, I would like to actually try out installing AVADA SEO Image Optimizer, a free SEO app that I introduced previously, into my Shopify store.

From my own research, I felt that "AVADA SEO Image Optimizer" was the most functional and easy to use among free SEO apps. What was particularly appealing was that it has the functionality of sending sitemaps and JSON-LD structured data, even though it's free. I'll explain it step by step, including the initial setup!

Installing AVADA SEO Image Optimizer and Initial Settings

Install by going to Admin Panel → App Management → AVADA SEO Image Optimizer.

You will then be asked if you want to install it, so click "Install".

After that, the following screen will appear.

The last option, "HTML Sitemap," is unchecked by default, so check it if necessary. If you're not sure what to do or don't have an SEO app installed yet, I think it's okay to just check it. I'll check it without hesitation and move on to the next step.

You will then be taken to the dashboard. At this stage, the SEO features have not yet been applied, so you will need to apply them to your Shopify site.

Near the middle of the dashboard, there is a section that says "AVADA SEO Suite is disabled." Check it to change it to "enabled."

The free SEO app "AVADA SEO Image Optimizer" has now been applied to your Shopify site!

How it appears in Google search

Now let's take a look at how it actually appears in Google search results.

When I searched for "EC Penguin,"

In this way, each page and even recommended articles are now displayed!

It's a free app, so it's amazing what it can do so automatically.

Connect to Google Search Console

It is also possible to connect to Google Search Console, so I decided to take this opportunity to do so.

Select "Google Search Console" in the sidebar of your dashboard and click Connect to Google Search Console.

You will then be asked to log in to Google, so log in and allow permissions.

I didn't set up Google Search Console in my EC PENGUIN account, so

You will be asked to connect to Sachiko on a screen like this.

You will then be prompted to "Verify domain ownership with DNS records," so you will need to set up your DNS on your domain provider's website (such as Onamae.com or Go Daddy).

Please note that it may take up to 5 minutes for the DNS settings to be updated after you have configured them with Onamae.com. Also, it may take up to a day for the information to be updated on Sachiko the first time.

Optimize your images and alt text

Finally, optimize your images and alt text.

Click Image Optimization on the sidebar and click "Optimize now." (Immediately after installation, a message will appear saying that the process is in progress, and after a short while, the Optimize now button will become available.)

This completes all the settings.
